As the glycetract does not contain alcohol it may be suitable for immune support for those who need to restrict their intake of alcohol. As the glycetract tastes sweet, it may be useful alone or in liquid formulations for children – at a suitable dosage.
 
To make a gargle or mouthwash, use 5 mL in 70-80 mL of saline.

  • Contraindicated in patients taking immunosuppressant medication (such as transplant patients). Short-term therapy only is suggested in this instance.
