Dosage

• 3 drops (0.116 mL) daily in water or juice
• Shake well before use
• Squeeze gently

Warnings

• Contains ethanol 12.84% v/v as a preservative
• Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding
• Contains selenium which is toxic in high doses; a daily dose of 150 µg for adults of selenium from supplements should not be exceeded
• Selenium has antiplatelet effects and may cause excessive bleeding if used perioperatively or alongside anticoagulant/antiplatelet drugs; discontinue selenium supplementation at least two weeks before surgical procedures
• Hypothyroid patients who are deficient in both iodine and selenium should not receive selenium supplements without concomitant iodine; the reason for this is that while selenium will increase conversion of T4 to T3, the thyroid gland will lack sufficient iodine to synthesise more T4
• Dietary supplements should not replace a balanced diet
